232 interface description and common problems of dam series products

1. There are three common RS232 interfaces of dam series equipment:

Note: the terminal wiring is, and the 5-pin GND of 232 must be connected.

2. Computer connection

When connecting the computer for communication, the user needs to check whether there is a db9232 male interface on the computer, as shown in the figure:

If not, you need to use a 232 to USB converter. When using the converter, the USB driver needs to be installed on the computer. The specific driver files need to be obtained by contacting the converter manufacturer, or use the driver master, driver wizard and other software to identify the installation.

3. How to view the serial port number of the current computer

Right click, select [attribute], and then click to view in [port], as shown in the following figure:

4. Device communication connection

After determining the port number, open the dam debugging software, select the corresponding serial port number, select the equipment model, enter the default equipment address, and open the serial port to conduct communication test, as shown in the following figure:

5. Communication failure performance

The software reads the parameter prompt and fails to read. At this time, the first step is to check whether the serial port cable or the serial port to USB adapter cable is normal.

6. How to test whether the serial port cable and RS232 to USB cable are normal

Open the serial port assistant at the computer end and send data arbitrarily. If the weak serial port line is normal, the sending and receiving data content and length are the same, as shown in the figure:
